Noa Eshkol's name is mostly known in relation to movement notation, which was brought about by her to many people around the world who teach it, write it, investigate movement with and dance by it.
For the last 30 years Noa is creating compositions of wall rugs made of cloth leftovers, which are supposed to be thrown away.
Noa accepts these leftovers as they are; she doesn't change anything but creates a new composition, which results in beautiful wall rugs.
Noa says, that taction is related to form that is grasped by the eye. These 2 senses transfer feelings and alive the form. Human clothing is the extension of the skin,
which holds the body. Clothing is the ornament that touches man's skin and body. So the cloth brings us back to the feelings of the body.
Cloth serves man in clothing; cloth leftovers, the remains, are the resonance of the garment.
The picture remains, sound and motion exist and diffuse simultaneously.
